Early Life and Background

David Adedeji Adeleke, professionally known as Davido, was born on November 21, 1992, in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. He is the youngest of five siblings and the second son of business magnate Adedeji Adeleke and university lecturer Vero Adeleke. At a young age, Davido relocated to Lagos, Nigeria, where he was raised in a wealthy and influential family. His father is a prominent Nigerian business tycoon, and his late mother was a university lecturer. 

Education

Davido attended the British International School in Lagos for his secondary education. He later moved to the United States to study Business Administration at Oakwood University in Alabama. However, his passion for music led him to drop out and focus on his musical career. During this period, he acquired musical equipment and started making beats, which marked the beginning of his journey into music production and recording.

In 2019, he got engaged to Chioma Avril Rowland, the mother of his third child, and dedicated the song “Assurance” to her.
